Dhruv Patel

Director of Tax and Accountancy

Dhruv heads up the Tax and Accountancy team at Elemental. He holds a law degree and is dual qualified as both a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Tax Advisor. He is passionate about providing simple to follow and straightforward advice, however complicated the underlying issue.

He began his career in PwC’s Tax Advisory team, followed by the International Tax team at Mazars. Dhruv has helped UK companies expand into BRICs economies, implemented worldwide tax reporting and consolidation systems, secured global tax deductions for share based remunerations and delivered national training courses as the firm’s in-house tax expert. He has also worked client side as the Group Tax and Treasury Accountant at international recruitment firm Michael Page plc.

Dhruv established the Tax and Accountancy practice at Elemental to offer a one-stop shop for tax and accountancy services. Current clients include Mytilneos SA, Fabrix Capital, Concord Resources and Aman Hotels. He and his team provide a complete suite of ongoing accounting support services. They also regularly advise on SPV and holding company structures, raising capital via Enterprise Investment Schemes, tax residency, Research & Development tax relief, capital allowances, reorganisations, profit extraction and share-based remuneration.

Highlights

Mytilineos: Mytilneos is one of the biggest companies on the Athens stock exchange and operates in the metallurgy, energy, and EPC markets. Dhruv is proud to have worked with the group since their entry into the UK via a joint venture in 2015. He continues to support them across all their tax and accountancy needs including managing development SPVs and undertaking various advisory projects. Recently he has been providing direct, indirect and employment-related tax advice as they commence building the £350m Protos waste energy plant in Ellesmere Port.
Aman Hotels: The Aman Group is the world’s most exclusive hotel brand, operating 32 properties in 20 countries. The group is owned by Vladislav Doronin. The group operates a number of UK entities for which Dhruv oversees the payroll, statutory account, corporation tax, VAT, and audit process.
Fabrix Capital: Fabrix Capital is an innovative and prize-winning property investor and development business. Ultimately controlled by Alexander Samwer, the group also manages a successful property investment fund. Elemental provides a one-stop-shop of accounting and tax advisory and compliance services.
